Hebrews 3:12 (NIV)
12 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.

Everyone is called but very few make it. When we look at the numbers of Israel, there were three million that were led out and only two of that generation crossed over, the rest lived on the banks looking at the Promised Land. There were many different things that stopped them from crossing over as there are many things that stop us from crossing over.

Most of the church today believes that when we die we cross over the Jordan and go to heaven, so therefore, people who are in the church position themselves to live in the wilderness and just barely get along and that we are meant to live there until we cross over the Jordan.

The 'crossing over' they call it, to the Promised Land which is heaven, I believe, is a wrong interpretation. I believe that crossing over is to cross over into our destiny, to lose our lives and let Christ's life live in us here on the earth.

See it's God's will that we cross over. How do we depart from the living God? We depart from His purpose. We have all the excuses in the world why we're not doing what God called us to do and why we're not crossing over into His will for our lives. We have to have a heart to cross over not an evil heart of unbelief. All things are impossible with man but possible with God.
