Jeremiah 23:14 (NIV)
And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit
adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from
his wickedness. They are all like Sodom to Me; the people of Jerusalem are like
Gomorrah."
This spirit that strengthens the arms of the wicked can be so strong as we see in
Proverbs 7, which speaks about the loose woman, luring and enticing. "Many have
fallen to her flattery and her deception." Sin needs to be dealt with in the form of
repentance. We cannot think that we can look beautiful and so white in our adornment on the
outside but inside be full of fornication. To compromise God's ways will cause a church
to have a form of Godliness but reject the power thereof.
Some people may think that no compromise is a bit too hard but why do you think that
ninety nine point nine percent of the churches have not broken into revival? We all sin and
fall short of the glory of God but we must repent. You can fall; failing doesn't make
you a failure, living in failure makes you a failure.
Because of our emotional opinions and our desire to 'be kind', or 'not
be too hard', we can be gambling with people's salvations. We must give people the
authentic truth of God about repentance.
