Ephesians 5:15, 16 (Amplified)
15 Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not
as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), 16 Making the very
most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
I've gotten so busy that I would have given five thousand dollars to buy back
one day to spend with my kids. Isn't that amazing? When we are born we get on a
spiritual escalator and it is called time, a time to be born and a time to die. We have a
mission that God wants us to complete in that time. The devil's job is to blind our
minds so we can't see it. Just because we can't see it time is still going by. If
you had a billion dollars to buy back five minutes of that time that has gone by that has
been lost to you, you couldn't buy it. All of a sudden you realise how valuable time is
and that you realise that there are only so many hours in a day and so many minutes in a day
and so many seconds.
You start to realise that God wants you to discipline yourself to make the day
yours. So you have a thing called a schedule and it is not a bad word. Satan wants to send
people in to break that schedule. When you get a schedule established in your life where you
are starting to respect time and you start to see that time is the most important commodity
that you have and the way that you schedule out your day is going to bring you into a new
complete dimension in life. You'll love this schedule; you'll start to see that the
day doesn't get away from you and that at the end of the day you will look back and say,
"What did I do today? Another day gone?" You'll finish each day with a sense of
completion. You'll finish each day knowing that it was your day, you made it yours and
you accomplished this, this, this and this and it was a good day to be alive. It was a good
day to conquer. It was a good day to wear. All this is because you got your schedule into
line and when the devil came to pull you to the left and to the right you were so focused.
