Jeremiah 23:16-17 (NIV)
16 This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. 17 They keep saying to those who despise Me, 'The Lord says: You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say, 'No harm will come to you.'

When you come into the midst of a true prophetic ministry; something inside of you begins to shake. A fear starts to come over you; you get nervous in their presence. You feel that when they look at you they can get right down into the very depths of your being. But if you get around someone who is false it is, "Oh give me a word, I just need a word." Man I remember sometimes when the prophetic mantle would fall and some people would just get up and run out of the meeting. Why do you think He wipes the tears out of their eyes? They are not tears of joy. The bible says that some sins, we send into the throne room before us and some sins follow us in. That's scary. We need to send them all in. Lets get rid of them once and for all and then they are dropped into the sea of forgetfulness and we can have a clean heart before God. When we pray let's pray and ask God for a spirit of repentance to come over us so we can change.

Everyone wants to blame somebody for their failures in life rather than to realise that they have a God that will cause them to be triumphant. Everyone wants to hang on to a hurt or develop a little bit of self pity. When we get into self pity it is just throwing a party with people from the pit and fellowshipping with the negative natures of life rather than realising that we have the authority and the power to change life.
