You don’t know me but I have followed your ministry for some years. I am 35 years old married with 3 children. I have been running away from the call on my life since I was 18. I have built a good life for my family. I work hard. I am debt free and own a home here in Atlanta. My question is how do I change gears, respond to my call, and at the same time not put to much pressure on my wife and children. I have watched many people through the years enter ministry and have seen the negative effects it’s had on there marriages and families. I cant go on running from my call, I know I have to respond but I would like to keep my family feeling secure at the same time is this possible? Also I spoke to my Pastor about my desire to be in full time ministry, I have been a faithful lay person in our church for 10 years, He tried to talk me out of it, I got the feeling that he was concerned about losing us from the church. How should I handle this?
