I have been doing weekly home groups for about 6 months now. God seems to be really blessing them and the increase has been more than we have expected. We are seeing more and more people healed and many, not all, totally delivered from adictions. My pastor says the meetings have no direction because we are not a church, but a bible study. Do you agree?

Let me say everything has a direction, what direction its heading determines if it’s a problem or not. You may attend church but I don’t think you have a pastor. If you had a pastor then he would be involved in your home meeting. Then your home meeting would have a covering and your home meeting would be moving in the same direction as the local body of believers it was part of.
Having healing and deliverance's in your meeting dose not justify God ordaining it’s existence. Let me give you something to meditate on: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father Matt 7:21-27
I don’t think the people referenced in this scripture where bad people I think they were good people; they cast out demons, they prophesied, and did many good works. I guess that would include, working miracles, healing, feeding the poor, teaching and preaching and so on. However they were workers of iniquity, what does that mean in modern English, or in any language? It simply means they were rebellious; they were building from a different blueprint than God’s. Everywhere in the Bible that God asked people to do things for him he was very detailed on his instructions to them. Moses building an alter, Noah building an ark, Solomon building a temple, Gideon assembling an army, Saul going into battle on his behalf, or Paul building a church. In the long run it does not matter what your pastor thinks, or I think we all have to give an account for our own actions.
My personal feeling is that you are skating on thin ice, eternity is a long time, go to the word of God and prayer and dissolve this issue in your own heart. Whether you want to admit it or not if you have been doing this for six months and you are the one organizing these meetings you are these peoples pastor. You will give an account for your actions and theirs. I strongly suggest you read submission and authority by Watchman Nee.
NOT MANY [of you] should become teachers my brethren, for you know that we [teachers] will be judged by a higher standard and with greater severity [than other people; thus we assume the greater accountability and the more condemnation]. James 3:1

I think the home study is good for beginners but only under the authority of your Pastor. He should be involved. I you are the member of his church, he will have to answer to God for the things you are doing and if you do something wrong and he is not included you are being a burden to him. You should pray about what you are doing and let God speak to you. I agree with your Pastor the meetings have no direction with out his protective covering. Don't try to jump ahead of the game, be respectful to your Pastor under the guidelines God has set up for us as sheep. Their job is the most stressful he not only has to worry about you but for his whole congregations as well. God bless and don't be offended.
