I knew man who I called friend. We where going to do a business verture together. He took off with $2000, of my money. I have forgiven him.
If we where to meet agian I think I would be able to shake his hand and even give him a hug, But if he needed help like borrow my car, or something like that. Iam not sure who i would react
I guess my question is how would i learn to show real love without realy trusting them

Hi Ray,
We all have to deal with this problem, I am sure even the guy you are dealing with had to go through some sort of betrayal to learn betrayal.
The way I deal with this is to remember there is no test that is not common unto man and with each test Jesus makes away of escape.
Let me tell you of a situation that I recently found myself in I had made a decision to help a homeless man who had fallen on hard times since his wife died, Alcohol had become his medicine of choice. We as a church worked with him and I let him stay at my home in my garage, and when we were away ministering he fell off the wagon, stole a lot of our personal stuff and pawned it to buy his medicine of choice.
This enraged me so much I wanted to kick him out of the church and the Holy Spirit brought me under control by reminding me I had let a lot of people down when they were helping me when I went through a hard time in my life and they stuck with me, they were wise enough not to invite me into their home but they stuck with me.
Ray, stick with your friend don't take it personal, show him correction is not rejection confront him with his problem and not with your own personal hurt this will only add to the guilt he already has, and this will make the situation worse. Ray minister to him and don't try to be his friend Jesus did not enter into friendship with his disciples until he cleaned them up with the word of God for their life.
This is your time to love as Christ loved you stick with him but monitor your personal relationship with him and choose your friendships wisely.
